This term our Project Based Learning (PBL) has been about kindness and the big question was:
How can we build community through our actions?
First, we explored some collaborative activities and discussed how we could include kindness and build a sense of community through our actions at camp. Next, we were organised into groups where we had to unpack the above question. In our groups we considered how we could spread community and kindness through our entire school community. We decided that we would offer something that was free and would make others happy.
We created an action plan and we were going to give out cookies with tags on them saying have a nice day, but then the teacher said to us and said you should do something that doesn't cost money. We decided we should take people out for a game.
For our final product our group took the other hubs out for a game of rip-pa rugby because our school had ripa's and we also played infected and ball elimination.
Reflection: my group did very well but we had to take out 60 people and there was only five of us so 3 went to rippa one went to ball elimination and one went to infected but it all worked out. It worked out because we were organised and the children had fun.
How did our action build a sense of community in the school - we taught everyone how to play the game and this made them happy.
I contributed being the ref in the game, organised equipment, made certificates and talked with the teachers and made kindness tokens.
I think the PBL might impact on others by thinking how kind you can be and that some people can be kind.
What I learned about working with others was how some people do no work until we get out of the class and that some people do lots of work.
I am a student at St Francis of Assisi Catholic School. This is a place where I will be able to share my learning with you. Please note....some work won't be edited - just my first drafts, so there may be some surface errors. I would love your feedback, comments, thoughts and ideas.

It sounds as though you learned a lot about organisation along the way. Well done Mostyn.
